Location Details

The West End of Vancouver is one of the most densely populated places in North America.  But that density doesn’t make for pollution and congestion instead the population allows for many options to those who live there.  On the far end west end of the area is a little park called Stanley Park.  Well not so little.  Stanley Park is 1001 acres.  Stanley Park is home to Second and Third Beaches, the massive second beach pool that offers lap swimming, slides and shallow areas for kids.  The park also has a pitch and putt golf course, a number of restaurants, the Vancouver Aquarium, a bike path that circles the park hugging the ocean the whole way around, a lagoon, and 17 tennis courts.  Yes, not so little.

Beyond Stanley Park the West End is home to great restaurants on Denman St, Davie St and Robson St.  Grocery and shopping surround the neighbourhood on all three of those streets.  To the south of the neighbourhood is a number of beaches starting with Sunset Beach to English Bay Beach.

The West End offers Lord Roberts Elementary School and King George Secondary School.  There is a community centre that has great fitness facilities, a skating rink and squash courts.  Beside the community centre is the local branch of the Vancouver public library.

The West End is exciting and vibrant while being tranquil at the same time.
